an experiential learning event designed to help people better understand what life is like for their neighbors living in poverty. 35 to 75 people assume the roles of families living in poverty, experiencing a "month" that takes place in four 15-minute “weeks.” Participants must maintain secure shelter, pay utilities, feed their families, make loan payments, meet living expenses, handle unexpected emergencies, and keep their children in school, all while subsisting at or below the poverty level.
