Waka Flocka Flame, DJ Whoo Kid @Elan Savannah

HE'S baaaaaaaaack! After an unforgettable show at Elan in March 2016, Atlanta’s own Waka Flocka’s heading back our way for another blow-out.

Above all, the “No Hands” rapper is an entertainer, throwing himself in the crowd and thrilling audiences with his antics (at his January Georgia Theatre show in Athens, a fan’s Trump jersey got a, er, close inspection of Flocka’s derriere, sending the internet into a viral frenzy of hysterics). His last Savannah show was one of the most lively events Elan’s hosted.

Flocka’s long-awaited album Flockaveli 2 has turned into a Chinese Democracy situation with the release date pushed over and over again due to label conflicts. In July, Flocka posted an image to his Snapchat captioned “F2 10/5/17.” Originally due in October 2013, fans hope his snap signals to a fall release.

In the meantime, Flocka’s been dropping mixtapes and kicking out old favorites like “Hard In Da Paint” for his audiences. He released a new single, “Big Dawg,” in April.

Friday, August 11, 9 p.m., $20-85, 18+
