Tybee Living Shoreline Planting

When: Sat., April 8, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. 2017

Grab your shovels and gloves. UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant is inviting members of the community to plant yaupon holly, muhly grass, and marsh at the living shoreline behind the Burton 4-H center. During the event, volunteers will be planting 160 plants behind the oyster reef, which will help stabilize the eroding bank and provide valuable habitat for shorebirds and other marine animals.
