99149; A 33rd Street resident was charged with carrying a concealed weapon after an officer saw him getting into a suspect vehicle. When the man was removed from the vehicle, "a knife was removed from his waistband after the man pointed to it to let officers know it was there."



99149;ÊTwo men who were seen loitering between Bull and Abercorn streets were arrested. The men were charged with public drunkenness, public urination, intentional urination and loitering/prowling.



99149;ÊA Hamilton Court man was charged with simple battery, cruelty to children and interfering with a 911 call. Officers were called to the man's home on report of a domestic situation. His wife told the officers that the man "hit her on the side of the head and pulled the phone wire out of the wall to keep her

from calling police." Two juveniles in the home observed him doing this.



99149;ÊA man was arrested for private use of a public park after he was discovered asleep on a bench at the basketball court at Forsyth Park. The man told officers he did not know his social security number. He originally gave his age as 32, but later said he was 33 and then said he was 34.



99149;ÊA man who tried to stop a fight at the intersection of Bull and Congress streets was injured slightly. The man said he and several friends were walking in the area when they observed a large group of white and black males arguing. The man said he and his friends attempted to talk to them in an effort to stop the argument. One of the men approached him and struck him on the side of the face with a fist. The man had slight swelling on the side of his face, but declined medical treatment.
