Women Unchained documents the experiences of modern-day “agunot,” women whose husbands refuse to grant them a Jewish divorce. Shot in New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles and Israel, Women Unchained includes illuminating interviews with leading women’s rights advocates, rabbis and experts. Aya is a dramatic short that features a young woman, who waits at the airport to collect someone, but finds herself picking up a complete stranger instead – Thomas Overby, a Danish music researcher visiting Israel as jury member of the Rubinstein Piano Competition. He believes Aya to be his assigned driver. Optional Dinner 6:00 pm
