Curated by SCAD Arts Administration graduate student Alexandra Chamberlain, Salvage: Stolen Expression showcases 15 different artists from both the United States and
Europe and 31 different works of art all centered on issues of free speech, fair use, the 1st
Amendment, and these legislative effects on artistic practices. Seeking to create an open
conversation among its visitors, Salvage: Stolen Expression was created out of the thought
that artwork on this subject should not just be admired, but discussed and used to spark a
discussion among those admirers.
