Ogeechee Riverkeeper is slated to kick off its 2017 paddle trip season with a six-mile paddle on the beautiful Canoochee River whose winding blackwater creates both a serene and challenging course for paddlers. Luke Roberson, Ogeechee Riverkeeper’s outreach and water quality specialists, will lead this trip. This course’s difficulty ranking is beginner to intermediate. The put-in location is at Daisy Nevils Highway, two miles north of the intersection with US Highway 280 in Claxton.
