Armstrong State University’s Department of Criminal Justice, Social and Political Science will host a free lecture by HIV/AIDS activist Rae Lewis-Thornton as part of the #SayHerName Visiting Scholars Program. Thornton was diagnosed as HIV+ in 1988, followed by a diagnosis of AIDS in 1998. She lectures world-wide on the topic of living with HIV/AIDS, challenging stereotypes and myths.
