I apologize, as a politically active progressive and only on my own behalf for any who pilloried you for the Jarvis interview. We on the left have been just as bad as the Sarah Palin bunch when it comes to following the right down the "Lame Stream News" rabbit hole, and I fear we will come to regret it, mightily.

However, your readers should know that nerves are raw when it comes to GOP tactics. We are, as a group (and I am in Glynn County, not Chatham) quite tired of being a consistent target of GOP interference, not in the election, but in our campaigns. Stolen yard signs - once documented with the local GOP chair caught doing it - and dummy candidates filing in Democratic primaries. Jarvis's candidacy was particularly alarming as we do have viable candidates running for the 1st congressional district representative position, It was easy to see Jarvis getting on the ballot, campaigning for and encouraging a cross-over vote that, in the absence of interesting Republican candidates, would result in Republican candidates running for the seat on both ballots.

I hope you keep on keeping on, interview everyone, and provide valuable information that will lead to a good and honest election next year. I remind my fellow Democrats, we would not have known of Mr. Jarvis, whatever his agenda, without your help. That is what journalism does.

I am a pretty active Dem, albeit in Glynn County but with lots of Savannah friends. As of this afternoon no one I know has ever heard of the candidate. I thank him for his service but perhaps he should start out running for a less ambitious and sensitive office. I have to add that we have had some recent and unfortunate experience with Trojan horses.
