STAIR Group stands for Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation. It is a support group for female veterans, retired and active duty service members who have experienced service-related PTSD (post-traumatic stress) and/or MST (military sexual trauma). This is not a group to process trauma details, but to explore how trauma has impacted thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Goals are to increase coping skills for distressing emotions and improve relationships. A brief phone interview and commitment to complete the entire group is required. Group max is 8 participants led by experienced civilian therapist for 10 sessions. Begins early August.
