deFINE ART lecture by Theaster Gates

Chicago-based artist Theaster Gates's artistic practice that includes space development, object making, performance and critical engagement. Founder of the non-profit Rebuild Foundation, Gates is currently Director of Arts and Public Life at the University of Chicago. Gates’s has exhbited at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; dOCUMENTA, the Studio Museum, Punta della Dogana, Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, among others. His deFINE ART 2014 lecture is supported by the Jacob and Gwendolyn Lawrence Foundation.
