Cro-Mags, Slave Grave @The Jinx

Experience hardcore history at The Jinx. Cro-Mags, the influential NYC hardcore punk band, blazed the trail for the fusion of metal and hardcore music. Formed in 1981, the band released its debut album, The Age of Quarrel, in 1986. With John Joseph's influentially raw vocals set against fast time signatures and punk-metal guitar tone, the record produced now-classics like "World Peace," "We Gotta Know," "Street Justice," "Hard Times," and "Show You No Mercy."

The band’s gone through countless lineup changes over the years—their current live show features Joseph on vocals, Mackie on drums, AJ Novello on guitar, and Craig Ahead on bass.

The show also marks the return of heavy Savannah band Slave Grave. Featuring scene regulars including Rich Krauss, Brook Schwartz, Andrew Walker, and Lee Vallier, it’ll be the band’s first live performance in about five years.

Monday, April 2, doors at 9 p.m., show at 10 p.m., $15 via ticketfly.com, 21+
