Register today for “Introduction to the Georgia Coast,” the first in a series of workshops offered as part of UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant’s Coastal Stewards Program. The workshop will take place on November 18 and 19 at the UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium on Skidaway Island. Participants will learn about Georgia's important coastal habitats and get their hands dirty while using scientific instruments in the field. Workshop activities will include a trawl aboard the R/V Sea Dawg, phytoplankton identification, and saltmarsh and maritime forest exploration.
