Buddhist Ghost Festival & Great Memorial

When: Sun., Aug. 10, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. 2014

The Buddhist day in which the spirits of the deceased return to Earth. Monks and temple members partake in activities to honor their familial ancestors with food offerings and burning of incenses and symbolic paper signs. Schedule of Events 8:30am: Tea Offerings 9:00am: Welcome 11:00am: The “Ghost Festival” festivities commence 12:00pm: Free vegetarian lunch served to all 2:00pm: The “Great Memorial” ceremony commences
