A man called police to report his home had been broken into. Officers observed that entry to the house appeared to be through the back window of the kitchen. The screen had holes in it and was lying on the ground. The window had been broken and pieces of glass were found outside and in the building. It was the only window in the house that did not have security bars. The items that appeared to have been stolen were located in the front bedroom.
A woman parked her car at President and Jefferson streets to go into a Broughton Street nightclub. When she returned, the car was gone. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the car. They could find no glass that might indicate the car had been broken into. The woman said she had the keys, but that her license and purse were in the missing car. She said the car has extensive damage to its front, including a missing bumper, and an expired Florida tag.
