Savannah Community Theatre Open Auditions for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? by Edward Albee Wednesday, October 2, 2013, by appointment Friday, October 4, 2013, 7 by appointment Call 912-247-4644 for an audition appointment Directed by Carl Rosengart Casting all roles except that of George. Performances are February 10-11 and 16-17-18 at 7:30 PM and February 12 and 19 at 3:00 PM. Rehearsals start October 9. Audition consists of a reading from the script. CHARACTERS TO BE CAST: MARTHA - Mid-forties to mid-fifties. Martha is the daughter of the president of New Carthage University. She is married to George, though disappointed with his aborted academic career. She attempts to have an affair with Nick. NICK - Late twenties to mid-thirties. Nick has just become a new member of the biology faculty at New Carthage University. He is good-looking, Midwestern, and clean-cut and is married to Honey. HONEY - Mid-Twenties to late twenties. Honey is the bland wife of Nick, has a weak stomach, and is not the brightest bulb of the bunch.
