‘Various Views’ -- Work by Fran Thomas, Morgan Kuhn, Charlotte Dunlap, Frances Walters, Angela Coonce, Carolyn Neely and Preston Russell is on display at Gallery 440, 440 Bull St. between Monterey Square and Forsyth Park. The gallery represents over 20 local and national artists.



Rosewood Studio opening -- New gallery at 113 E. Oglethorpe Ave. features painting, sculpture and photography by Kay Godawa, Daniel McInnis, John Jensen, Blanche Nettles Powers, Meryl Truett and Katherine Sandoz.



'Le Cafe' -- Acrylic paintings by Jessica Barnhill, Nov. 17- Dec. 8 at Gallery Espresso, 234 Bull St. Illustrative style paintings inspired by retro and European advertisements.



‘Small Works’ -- SCAD annual holiday exhibition featuring work from students, alumni, faculty and staff, at The Red Gallery, 201 E. Broughton St. All pieces are priced at $500 or less and measure 18 inches or less in any one direction.



‘millions of unusual small creatures lurking everywhere’ -- Black Orchid Gallery at 131 Drayton St. hosts this exhibit by Ladyboy, a Philadelphia based artist. The show runs through December. Opening reception will be held Dec. 9 at 8:30 p.m.



‘A Host of Folk Angels’ -- New exhibit at the Hurn Museum, 1015 Whitaker St., Nov. 15-Dec. 31. Closed Monday.

JEA Art for December -- The work of Tybee painter Steve Willis will be on display this month at the Jewish Educational Alliance, 5111 Abercorn St.

Michael Banks -- The Hurn Museum of Contemporary Folk Art presents work by this outsider artist Sept. 6-Dec. 31 at 1015 Whitaker St. Closed Monday.
