Isn't George Soros the money-man behind BLM? Just asking.

Paris has crews of special sanitary workers (I think they were once called cantoniers) who operate at night for the most part. They wear green jumpsuits and heavy gloves and boots. They run street sweepers and they also wash the streets and sidewalks down with water from a tanker, with the crew using mops and brushes on stubborn spots.

Here we have the streets swept on a route schedule but it appeared to me these Paris street-cleaning crews covered not just a route, but an entire section of Paris at a time, all of the streets in a given district (arrondisement.) I haven't been in a while, don't know if they even still do it that way.

When I was there, they got a lot of the litter up, but it was a losing battle against pet-owners who let their pets use the "facilities" all over the sidewalks. If they had a pick-up law similar to what is on the books here, nobody obeyed it.

The lady was killed because she was an out-of-towner totally unaware of just how dangerous Bay Street really is. Solution: stop bringing these bicycle riders here to clog traffic all over downtown and if it is insisted that they come here, let them rally at some point far, far from Bay Sreet. Daffin Park maybe, or one of the Walmart parking lots.

Am I interested that someone has just spent a week riding a bicycle out in the countryside and has ended up here? Uhhhhh--nope! Why not move the end of the event to someplace like Leesburg or Dawson or Winterville or Quitman? Anyplace but Bay Street!

    Re: “Feeling Orlando
Why did the cops hold back for 3 hours? Why did no one rush the alleged shooter when he changed magazines or chatted on the phone? What happened to the reports about the man who held the door shut, ignored ever since by the media? Why were there no EMT's seen? Why did the cops load the wounded person into a pickup truck, rather than an ambulance? Why were the people helping moving the wounded people toward rather than away from the building? The alleged shooter was in frequent contact with the FBI and held a 'security industry' job, yet none of the people in that field saw this coming. Why?

As to your question-- no, there is absolutely nothing an ordinary person can do if some nut-case or political whackadoo decides to open fire--except for one way, and that is to carry a weapon yourself. The old axiom applies: the only thing to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Truer words were never spoken (or typed.)

One way to curb incidents like this would be to stop allowing people who say they hate us or are suspected of hating us (or to whom we have given a reason to hate us, by bombing their towns and homes, killing their children, etc.) to move in and settle among us, however that doesn't seem likely thanks to the actions of the fools and warmongers who are our "leaders."

Did'ja hear about the two cannibals who met on a jungle trail? One of them told the other one he didn't look too well. "I don't feel well either," said the 2nd cannibal.

"I just ate two Franciscan priests."
    "Yeah? How'd ya cook them?"
    "I boiled them in oil."
    "Wrong! Franciscans are friars, dummy!"
