Man shot after 3 a.m. on Howard Street

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a Wednesday morning shooting on the 2300 block of Howard Street, that injured Sanders Hollis, 23.
"Just after 3 a.m. Metro responded to the scene, finding Hollis suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported by ambulance to Memorial University Medical Center," police say.
"Investigators believe Hollis was shot during an armed robbery near Howard Street. The shooter ran east. Hollis sought help at a nearby night club on the 2300 block of Bull Street."
The suspect is described as black male in his late teens to early 20s, standing about 5-7 to 5-8 and weighing roughly 120 pounds. The suspect’s face is clean shaven. He has a short haircut.
"A red hoodie, dark blue jeans and white Nike shoes were worn during the incident. Several additional black males wearing hoodies were with the suspect during the shooting," police say.
