Shots fired during robbery of IHOP employee

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Robbery Unit is investigating an incident at a Savannah restaurant that ended with a suspect firing shots at an employee Thursday night.
"The incident happened just before 8:30 p.m. at IHOP on the 1800 block of Victory Drive. The suspect entered the restaurant where he snatched an undisclosed sum of money from an employee," police say.
"While fleeing, the suspect displayed a firearm and shot at a different employee. No injuries were reported."
The suspect is described as "a black male standing 5-10 to 5-11 and weighing 150 pounds. He is clean shaven, with a slender face and dark skin tone. During the incident he wore a green and tan camouflage trucker’s hat, green and tan camouflage t-shirt and black jeans. He was last seen running toward Victory Manor Place," police say.
