Tim and Jennifer Strickland, owners of the Warehouse Bar & Grill, have taken over the venue and refurbished it. "We want to offer a steady stream of regional, national and even international artists year-round," says Tim Strickland. "And we want to present them in a way that's geared more toward respectful listening as opposed to a loud bar. It's a whole different attitude and idea than what you normally find on the riverfront."
Jim Reed, who's booking Brick & Mortar for the Stricklands, says the new club will have, among other innovations, a live multi-camera video feed from the stages to large TV monitors located in the various rooms of the club.
Thursday will be "all local" night, Monday will be music-related trivia, and, perhaps most significant of all, live performances will begin as early as 8 p.m.
Band announcements are forthcoming.
The Brick & Mortar website should go live in a few weeks.
