The Wailers

WELL GRADS, the time has come for SCAD to, AHEM, send you on your way (Ohnmawehh! Ohnmawehh!). So quit all that wailin’ about finals and get on down to the park!

The Wailers have almost become a Savannah Music Festival staple and will certainly make for a fun outdoor show. With Aston “Family Man” Barrett leading the way, Marley’s legacy lives on; Barrett and his brother, Carlton, played with Marley in the Wailers’ heyday, with Aston acting as the bandleader of Marley’s backing band, co-producer in the studio, and overseer of all song arrangements.

Rusted Root

Rusted Root are best remembered from their ‘90s glory days, but the Pittsburgh band has been blending African, Latin American, and Native American influences over seven studio albums and a live album. But not to worry: they still play “Send Me On My Way.”
