Part of the Savannah Folk Music Societys First Friday for Folk concert, Holcombe is quite a cult figure, whose spellbinding work has been praised by many of todays most influential and respected Americana songwriters (see Music Interview). Kylesa
The first local show in a while for one of Savannahs most infamous underground bands. Kylesa is known for a savage and brutal form of hardcore punk that is at times frightening in its bombast and volume. They tour all over the country and are well-known as a noteworthy example of their genre. For this show, theyll be joined by other well-received Savannah bands Unpersons (also signed to the highly-regarded indie label At A Loss), Two Days of Freedom (formerly known as Roswell - who have just released a seven-inch on local label Hyperrealist) and Chronicle A/D. Charlie Sherrill
Longtime house act at this well-known Tybee Island bar, who plays danceable pop music mixed with elements of light jazz, reggae and calypso. He terms this Tybee Music, and has released a couple of independent CDs filled with his original tunes celebrating the lazy life of a South Georgia beachcomber. Wed. - Sun., Docs Bar (Tybee).
The Skullies
Local hard rock group that straddles the line between modern punk and (egad!) nÜ-metal. Im pretty sure they hate it when I say that. Sat., The Jinx.

Two Blue
This unusual trio (featuring electric bass, electric guitarist/percussionist and a standout harmonicat) specializes in simple, unvarnished R & B, a la Sonny Boy Williamson or Little Walter. They occasionally throw in a few original tunes or dabble in rock and roll through their own arrangements of numbers by The Rolling Stones and others.
