Mixed Media Show -- Artists of MeadowLark Studio collaborate in this show at the Indigo Sky Community Gallery, 915 Waters Ave., June 4-30. Opening reception June 4 6-9 p.m. features a reading by the Spitfire Poetry Group.

'Ascention' -- Recent paintings by James Russell May through June 17 at Gallery Espresso, 234 Bull St. Reception is Thursday June 3, 6-9 p.m.

JEA Artist of the Month -- Beginning June 1 the JEA will feature the works of Sylvia Udinsky, a local Savannah artist. Udinsky's paintings will be for sale and for viewing through June 30 at the JEA at 5111 Abercorn Street. There will be a reception on June 6 at the JEA to which the public is invited.

SCAD Gallery Hop -- Happens Friday, June 4 from 5-7 p.m. in these college galleries: Alexander Hall; Bergen Hall; La Galerie Bleue; Orleans Hall; Pei-Ling Chan; Pinnacle Gallery; Red Gallery; and ShopSCAD. Free and open to the public.

Gallery 209 Artists of the Month -- The work of watercolorist Peggy Cone and jewelry and glass artist Isa Bella Davis will be featured at Gallery 209, 209 E. River Street through June.

Imprint of Time -- Daniel E. Smith's works in oil and encaustic are on display now through June 15 at the Downtown Athletic Club Gallery at One East Broughton Street.

A Centered Sense of Place -- This MFA thesis show runs through June 14 at Bergen Hall Gallery (101 MLK Jr. Blvd).

New Works for Spring -- This exhibit at Venus de Milo will feature work by local artists Mark Forehand, Chela Gutierrez, Shelley Smith, Jon Proctor, Margaret Brennen, & Bryce Griffis. Through July 1 at 38 MLK Jr. Blvd.

Secret Gardens New York: Designer Handbags by Karen Sharf -- SCAD presents this exhibit May 13-June 12, at Pinnacle Gallery, 320 E. Liberty St. Free.

Relationships -- SCAD presents an annual exhibition of student sequential artwork, May 17-June 20, at Orleans Hall Gallery, 201 Barnard St. Free.

New Visions -- A collection of pottery by Haitian artist Serge Gay. Opening reception at the Beach Institute on Tuesday, June 1st at 6 p.m. Show runs June 1-10. Free. The Beach Institute is at the corner of Price and Harris Streets.

The Graphic World of William Hogarth -- Features 2 dozen prints by the 18th Century English artist. Through June 30 at SCADs Newton Center, 227 MLK Blvd.

Crazy Horse -- Photographs from Iraq by photojournalist Rita Leistner. Through June 28 at the Steve Wiley Gallery at 2424 Desoto Ave.

Weaving Geographies -- SCAD presents an exhibition of Nene Humphreys sculptural works inspired by the Miao people of China, April 20-June 6, at Pei Ling Chan Gallery, 322 MLK Jr. Blvd. Free.

Spinning Filaments -- An exhibition highlighting work from the SCAD fibers department, April 21-June 13, at Red Gallery, 201 E. Broughton St. Free.

Ray Ellis: A Painters Journey -- This retrospective of the famed Lowcountry artist runs through June 13 at the Telfair Museum of Art, 121 Barnard St.
