Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police officers arrested and charged a Savannah man Wednesday night March 4 after identifying him "as the suspect who fired multiple shots into two units of a mobile home park," police say.

Kevin Rashawn Bryant, 31, was located in one of the units where he lives and identified as the suspect who fired shots into a neighboring unit and the one he rents. He has been charged with reckless conduct and criminal damage to property in the first degree.

West Chatham Precinct patrol officers had responded to the 3300 block of Ogeechee Road about 9:23 p.m. in answer to a shots fired call when they heard additional shots being fired.

The Immediate Response Team task force, Patrol officers and Violent Crimes detectives saturated the area, halting traffic on Ogeechee Road and surrounding the neighborhood. Officers conducted a door-to-door search for several hours until they located the units with gunfire damage and identified Bryant.
