A public xylophone in Forsyth Park

Posted on Fri, Jun 21, 2013 at 1:55 PM

City crews on Friday installed an oversized xylophone designed for interactive play for park visitors of all ages. The instrument, which plays eight soft chime-like notes, is located on the central walkway just west of the performance stage.

The xylophone was designed and purchased from an artist who has built similar instruments for various cities around the country. The City’s Building and Grounds staff built the beautiful wooden frame for the Xylophone and installed it.
